Dra. Sonia Mirabet Pérez

· Cardiologist and senior consultant specializing in Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation. She is currently the Director of the Heart Failure Unit and Cardiac Transplantation Program at Hospital de Sant Pau.
· Her research activity focuses on heart failure and cardiac transplantation, particularly on the study of different biomarkers and their impact on diagnosis and prognosis in patients with heart failure as well as heart transplant recipients. She has also conducted clinical research in the field of telemedicine. She is part of the research team at CIBERCV and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in clinical research on heart failure and cardiac transplantation, which has published numerous scientific papers. She is actively involved in teaching and training activities (Master’s programs, Continuing Education Courses) for both nursing and medical professionals. She also serves as a mentor for cardiology residents.
· Dr. Mirabet has contributed to the development of clinical practice protocols and guidelines at hospital, national, and international levels. At the institutional level, she served as Vice President of the Catalan Society of Cardiology (2022–2024) and is currently the President of the Heart Failure Association of the Spanish Society of Cardiology. She is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation.
